The Three Squirrels

Now more than ever

Alphabet Book of Manners

We are sisters - Carrie, Amy, and Stephanie - dedicated to sharing the potential that practicing courtesy and kind manners unlocks for every human being. We see an urgent need to keep manners relevant. Now more than ever, we want ALL littles to know the importance of treating others with kindness.

We designed The Three Squirrels' Alphabet Book of Manners to lead little readers through basic manners, one letter at a time; reinforcing the alphabet and common courtesies along the way.

Classic Keepsake Quality

The book is hardbound, seven inches square, and perfect for little hands to hold.

It has a classic black cloth cover, and features 26 manners that correspond to each letter of the alphabet.

Bright white pages and vibrant tartan patterns make this book a joy to read and to gift!

The Three Squirrels

We are not experts. We are daughters, sisters, wives, mothers, aunts, and friends. We believe we have a message that is worth sharing. We grew up with excellent examples. Our parents modeled kindness, love, and courtesy daily. We benefitted from an early understanding of how common courtesy and respect for others can help a person get along in the world, and we want to share what we know.

Steph Sorensen

Steph is the sporty baby squirrel. Thankfully, she has always had her two older squirrel sisters as remarkable leaders and supporters. They were her first role models. Lucky gal! Steph has always been drawn to sports, and now has a team of her own. Her 6th grade basketball buddy and crush is now her husband. Coach BJ supports Steph in her dreams and visions, and their children Scott, Harris, Josh and Quincy Jo cheer her on from the sidelines. After teaching middle school for 8 years, Steph moved on to the fast-paced world of new home construction and loves her office job at CBH Homes. Steph appreciates pretty things, kind words and lots of smiles. Her love, BJ, and her bigs and littles make her one happy and grateful mama.

Amy Wilkins

Amy is the gypsy middle squirrel. With her husband, Bruce, she moves from town to town. She has always worked in various combinations of art, design, and history; and is the maker of many things. Amy is a fan of handwritten letters, preservation, farmland, the sea, and above all—kindness. She’s a proud member of the Idaho division of Charley’s Angels, and is her sisters’ biggest fan. One of Amy’s early manners memories was her mom asking, “How would you behave if you were dining with the Queen?” Though she’s yet to have an engraved invitation from Buckingham Palace, she’s grateful to have had an early understanding of grace.

Carrie Hastriter

Carrie is the classic first born squirrel. Growing up, she took her (self-imposed) responsibility to keep her little sisters in line very seriously. I mean VERY seriously...  The great joy she now finds in teaming with her incredibly accomplished siblings humbles her daily. These are some quality women, by golly! A lifelong Idahoan, Carrie taught and coached junior high students for several years before starting a family with her husband and greatest champion, Dean Hastriter. Sons Henry and Charley are now the focus of her exacting expectations, but she couldn’t be prouder of the young gentlemen they continue to become. Since purchasing the family construction business from Dean's dad in 2003, Carrie manages the office. And Dean. And two kids. And a dog.
